Hey all,I"m getting the itch to buy another tractor but not sure if it"s the right move.I really would like a machine with a loader on it and I am somewhat partial to AC and older machines(cheaper).I"ve come across a D-14 pretty cheap and would like to put a loader on it.Where would a guy find a all hydrolic loader that would fit this tractor? Prefer one that was made for this unit or after market that would fit and match the high pressur low volume of the AC.Or should I bite the bullet and buy something newer with standard hydrolics. If I do buy the D-14 what kind of problem is it to find a loader?

I do not know all the differences, but I've got a loader on a D-17, Series III. I have the side mount, gear driven hydraulic pump to run the loader, and mine works pretty good. My loader is a Du-Al 242, so its a pretty older model loader.

I guess the one thing I would say, is that if I had it all to do again, I would get a Series IV, so I had the live power. At the time I bought this one, I just assumed any tractor made in the 1960's would have live power, but I get along with it ok.

If you want an all hydraulic loader, you'll need more than the built-in hyd of the D14. Technically you could run it with adding valves, but it would be more practical to a separate pump/reservoir.
