Friends, Been having trouble with my B electrical system. Replaced the wireing harness now the ammeter shows discharge in both switch positions, about 2 amps, put the lights it goes to 10 amps. Thanks in advance for any help.

Any chance you reversed the wires ont he ammeter. on my G.. I show a slight charge, and with switch out a heavier charge... sound similar?

If you have a vom.. check voltage if you have 7v at the battery.. you are not discharging...

Thanks soundguy, but according to the wiring diagram all the wires in the right place. I know the generator is charging, if you disconnect a battery post the tractor will keep running.

Well.. if it is charging, and the meter reads backwards.. guess what.. meter is either wired backwards.. or you have reversed polarity.. ie hooke dthe battery up backwards... That amp meter is just a shunt voltage meter.. and it is polarity sensitive.. and DC electrons go '1' way.. so not too hard to trouble shoot this one...
