I bought a 1959 John Deere 430 W and I think the rear spin outs are Allis Chalmers because they are fastened to the rim differently than the John deeres I have seen. Nine bolt pattern. Could they be off WD or WD45?

Anybody want to buy these or swap or know someone who does?

Roger

you get an adapter made at a machine shop to fit allis rims on your jd. it is a little spendy, though. it cost me $120 o rim.

The rims are on. They fit. It's just that the fasteners (center to rim) are not like the ones I've seen on JD tractors.

Are you saying I could have fasteners made.

Can I buy them?

Or did JD have two kinds of fasteners?

John Deere made spin out rims available on the 430 series. These were copied from Allis, Massey Ferguson also had spin out rims.

Thanks, I'll go on the MF discussion page and see if I can find an interested person.

A JD 430 WOULD HAVE 24" TIRES AND RIMS. WOULD HAVE SMALLER BOLT PATTERN AND 6 LUGS. SAME TYPE RAIL LOCKS. ALL OTHER BRANDS OF SPINOUT RIMS WERE USED BY OTHER MANUFACTURERS BY PAYING AC A ROYALITY. BOB

Chalmersbob, these are 8 bolt and 28 inch rims.

Maybe you are thinking of a utility or a standard with the 24 inch rims.
