I need the Main and Rod Bearing Torgues for a B Model Allis Chalmers.

On the rods I torque to 35 foot pounds and check to see where the hole for the cotter key is located. Then tighten just enough to get the cotter key in. Most of the time if you torque to the 40 pounds first you will have to be quite a bit over the 40 foot pounds to get the cotter key in. Not all the time will going over the 40 pounds be a problem. If the bearings have not been filed quite enough the over 40 pounds will cause them to squash in and work like a brake on the crankshaft.

Rods are 40 foot pounds and the mains 80 ft.lbs
