Looking at a WD with pto but no 2 or 3pt, how would an after market work on this tractor, was quoted about $500 for part? Its from the 40's & is a wide front. Are the pto's live on these? Thanks

Old is absolutely right,It is a sort of live setup when using the hand clutch.Can be handy as heck.

The pto and hydraulic systems are live- not independent. No such thing as a semi-live, or sorta-live pto.

3 Points can be hard pretty easy to them but you also need the lift system/hyds to do so. I have a parts tractor with the lift system but I don't have the 3 point arms for makeing a 3 point. My e-mail is open. Also the PTO is a sort of live set up useing the hand clutch.

Forgot to answer your PTO question. The PTO is what I would call a semi live system; it does not have its own independent clutch. To engage the PTO you push in on the foot clutch, pull out on the PTO gearbox lever, ease the foot clutch back out. The foot clutch disengages the transmission, PTO, and hydraulic pump. The hand clutch disengages the transmission only.

If you click on the 'Tractor Parts' on the left side bar of this page you will see offerings for the 3 point systems. You could also put the AC Snap Coupler system on you tractor.
