I have a190xt series 3, and several other allis tractors that i farm with. The 190 surges back and forth till i get it opened up about half way. Any one have any idea of a fix to the pump for it? Have never fooled much with injector pumps is reason of asking. Thanks for anyone who can help.

I suspect your governor ring is going out. Mine started doing the same thing and eventually got to the point it would slow down and quit. There is a little cover on the side of the pump. Try loosening the two screws holding it until it leaks fuel. If this causes it to run smooth a new governor ring is in your future. Mine is getting one even as I write this. I found a a diehard old school tractor puller who loves AC. He is doing mine very reasonable. I removed the pump and injectors and sent them to him.

Hope this helps!
Bill
