I need to know what year my Dad's tractor is. He passed away and I have it now. Number on left side of engine is WD 253892GA. Can anyone help me. And what it may be worth.

As Old says, look on the left rear of the differential housing below the brake cover, between the brake spring hole and the brake adjusting bolt/locknut. Altho there is no direct correlation between "engine" and "tractor" serial numbers, somebody came up with formula and a listing of approximate year by engine serial number. Going by that, (and assuming you still have the original engine) yours should be a 1951.
I have my Dad's '51 WD and the engine serial number is WD309267PA (Tractor Ser. # WD100853)

Serail number is on the left rear end houseing. behind the clutch pedle. If you walk up behind it its about knee level at least on me. Post that number and we maybe able to help or look on the left of this page under serial number and you can figure it out for your self.
