I am rebuilding an Allis B ,have checked 3 blocks ,all are cracked between sleeve bore's. Talked to an old Allis mechanic about repair. He said to just put her together and don't worry about it..... .... I still worry ,any suggestions?

Yep pretty normal. If you want another block let me know I have one in a parts C, same block it includes pistons rods and crank. I would love to see some one get it and use it instead of it rusting away. E-mail is open

if the crack is something like .010 wide, then you are normal, all that way. if you can stick your fingernail in the crack, that is getting a little wide and needs additional repair. --- the head gasket will seal small cracks.

Those are heat cracks. You will find them in all wet sleeved engines that was allowed to over heat past the red line. Not confined to Allis Chalmers.
