Hi I'm new to the Allis world. Just bought a 200, cleaned it up a bit and determined the injectors are leaking motor oil, are they sealed with o-rings? I heard possibly a washer. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

engine oil should not be able to get into the injector hole. the tappit coves leak a lot and with water from washing it could be boiling out. i have seen the washers at the bottem leak or the nozzel leak at the retaing nut. that would put fuel out the top but it would be dirty enough to look like oil. the bleed off line on top can also leak fuel and make a mess

Ive had considerable experience with these engines.PLEASE Seal it up and trade it for green or red.Fact is,if its got over 3 or 4000 hrs on it and hasnt been touched, then its due for a major overhaul

i've seen 'em with hour meters rolled over, and also seen red ones with pinholes in liners at 1500 hours. heck, i seen $150,000 8100 deere with less than 100 hours on it, go back for trans. overhaul.

I would guess that the valve cover leaked oil down into the injector sockets, then this oil is being pushed out by a small amount of combustion gas leakage past the sealing washer. If it seems to be bubbling up and out that's probably the case. I'm not intimately familiar with these engines, I've seen a lot of diesels that have a copper washer at the bottom where the injector seats in the head, then a rubber o-ring around the body about mid-way up. HTH.
