I have a 1949 WD that needs a new clutch. Would a clutch from a WD45 be a better unit? What are my options? Thanks

Cory, According to the I & T Service Manual,"Models WD & WD-45 tractors are equipped with either a 10" model 10RM Rockford clutch or a 10" model A-10 Auburn clutch." The clutch cover (pressure plate) ass'y. for the Rockford is: R4259; the Auburn: 100057-1. Flywheels for each type of clutch are unique and ARE NOT interchangeable. I'm sure some of the "Pullers" out there can tell you which type clutch is the best and probably they have other options for "beefing up" the relatively small 10" clutch. If they do, I'd be glad to hear about that too!Good luck, Brian G.
