I have a complete set of steel wheels ( fronts and rears ) that I removed from my unstyled WC when I converted it to rubber. They are in excellent condition and have been sandblased and painted. Does anyone have any experience with what they may be worth? I don't have a clue as to what I should ask for them.I'm located just north of Dallas. Thanks

Depends on the type of steel. If it is the standard style the rears are worth $150-200. If they are the 'tip-toe' style, a set of those just sold on ebay last week for $1700.

$200 each for the rears may be in line, but the fronts are very rare and usually bring from $300 to $500 each. Most of the steel wheeled WC's had rubber fronts because they steered easier.

Some people refer to the "tip toe" steel as "skeleton". There isn't really a rim, just a steel circle with the lugs attached.

Make me an offer if you like. Apparently the fronts are very rare and bring quite a bit. If you want to send me your email address I can send you a picture. There in great shape. Three or four of the lugs have the tips broke off but they can easily be built up with weld.
