I have found an Allis-Chalmers 160 (1974, so says the dealer) that is in very good condition. It has a 3 cylinder Perkins diesel that seems to fire right up. Sheet metal is very straight. Hydraulics work fine and the hour meter says 1530 hrs (Dealer claims it is a local, one-owner tractor that was used as part of a haying operation). I don't know anything about Allis Chalmers and I can't seem to find much information about this particular model. I would appreciate any opinions about the strong points/weak points of this tractor and what to watch out for. Thanks to all who reply.

The 160 is a bit of an odd ball. It replaced the D-15 in the line-up as a 40-some HP tractor. It was made by either Reneault or Fiat to AC's specifications, but may not share much in common with other AC's.
