THOUGHT I READ IT SOMEWHERE ON THIS SITE THAT THESE HEADS WERE THE SAME, THAT THEY WOULD WORK ON EITHER ENGINE. I HAVE BLOCK # CE 177398 PA AND HEAD OFF BLOCK # BE52440 K. WILL THESE WORK TOGETHER. WHAT DOES THE PA AND K DESIGNATE IN THESE NUMBERS. FIRST TIME REBUILDING A AC ENGINE,ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED. THANKS

BE and CE motors are the same. they changed the bore from 3-1/4 to 3-3/8 in the early 1940s. The PA i believe is a gas motor and the K is a kerosene motor. the K would be lower compression. i believe that was done with the piston tops. just to make sure, compare the volumn of the combusion chamber in the head, should be the same.
