In my dads estate is a AC D15 series 2, tractor has been sitting for 6 to 7 yrs in a garage. While the original paint is in very good shape there are a few known things wrong: voltage reg (may have new part), brakes and I would say the carb needs to be rebuilt after this much time. Tractor was purchased 5-24-84 from original owner who was a retiring farmer due to health. My dad used it to plow/disc approx 3 acres for family garden. I would like to know the difference between a D15 and the series 2? Also what would the horse pwr be? And last what is the worth of this tractor as I have a couple local interested parties? Note: This has a narrow front.

I hope I don't get a double post here. I bought a D15 Series II at the Auman auction in Taylorville IL last thanksgiving. It ran out fine. Had wide front, ps,three point, power director, power adj wheels, 90% rear tires, rear weights, three point, snap coupler was still there, some of that may be standard. An old working tach showed 3200 hrs.

The lights had beed robbed off it.

The only issue I have found is that one brake is soaked in oil and I am working on that.

The D15 Series II had a larger engine than the Series I with more horsepower. Series I PTO hp was 40 while Series II was 46.2. The headlights on a Series II were on the fenders and it had an oval muffler. They also made a lot more Series II tractors. It is probably worth $2500 to $3000. It is a nice tractor. You might consider keeping it.
