I have sitting in my shed an old Allis pull type combine. I am trying to find out what model it is.I have both an instuction book and a parts book for it. Was there a model made before the 40,60, 66, or whatever? Neither the parts book or insruction book have model number on them. The parts book states it is for serial numbers 6848 and up. It has a copyright in 1935,1936 by Allis-Chalmers Mfg. Co. The owner of the combine wrote 1936 on the parts book. Now this combine looks a lot like a 60 but it has at least one unique feature. The grain bin unloader is a paddle elevator. It also serves as the grain bin filler by flipping a spout on the upper end. Any information would be welcome. Also would like to know what it is worth?

It sounds like you have one of the High Speed Combines which were an early version of the All-Crop.Does the seperator have an arch top over it?
It sounds like you may have an extremely rare machine.

Try that link. I see a lot of old AC All Crops up here in the St Lawrence Valley. I'd like to get 6 or 8 together so I cold make at least one good one. Be handy fer sure.

According to Norm Swinford's "Allis-Chalmers - Farm Equipment 1914-1985", the "All-Crop" name came around sometime in 1936. Prior to that (1935 and early 1936), the combines were refered to as the "High Speed Combine". The pictures in the book also illustrate the unloading system that you describe with a common clean grain/unloading elevator.
I would imagine that a first or second year model such as yours would be somewhat rare.
