I have been following all your questions here and on the Allis forum. I think its a great you are gathering all the info you can before making a purchase. But I have a question for you.

Have you ever ran/operated a farm tractor before?

I don't ask this to be smart or embarrass you. I picked up a few things in some of your post that lead me to think you have never really done any farming or tractor/implement operating per-say.

You need not even reply. If you haven't done much beyond a test drive or a little mowing, please check into a tractor safety course. Most University extension offices have one.

Like I said, I don't question you abilities, its just we like to hear from folks and all the good times they had. We sure don't want to hear any bad news. Saftey First, Errin

To be honest I hoave NOT and these thing ARE a big Concern!!!!!

Tell you the truth I had a John Deere 5020 about a year ago that I sold. For this VERY reason!!! It was WAY too much tractor, but I can tell you it was a VERY good tractor. The local farmer who bought it had a John deere mechanic come and check it. He could not BELIEVE how good a shape this machine was in. I must have gotten 50 calls on this machine. I sure wished TODAY I had not have sold it. Made a mistake on buying it and even a BIGGER mistake selling it.

But to answer your question I have not had a whole lot of expriance operating a tractor.
