Later B's were available with hydraulics. There are some quirks with it. The factory hydo is a plunger pump driven from cams off the PTO shaft. This is part of the belt/PTO power unit. You can tell if one is capable of accepting the pump by the presence of the opening on the right side of the power unit. The pump is a simple bolt on if the hole is present. If no hole, but have PTO, need to swap housings. If have no power unit, need to install one, be sure to get the slifing grar and bearing race for the trans output shaft. Rebuilt pumps are about $250 and a hydro capable power unit is about $200, might get lucky and find the whole thing used for $350. Even if you have one, these are not live power, and they ar linked to the PTO. So, to lift your mower, it must be running! To lift you plow when you get stuck, need to shift to neutral, then let out clutch and lift! They produce little volume but nice pressure, so son't try to run a big cylinder with them, you'll drain the reservoir and burn up the pump. On my Dad's B, took off the pump and made a custom GM power steering pump setup to get continuous hydraulics.
