Good running condition D-19 gas tractors go for about $2000. Same tractor with diesel about $1000 more. There aren't too many around in the condition you describe. You couldn't take a $2000 gas tractor and make it flawless, and have any less than $5200 in it, not if you have to pay a dime for labor. So I guess the answer depends on how bad you need/want a tractor in that condition. I love my $2000 D-19, and if money weren't an issue I'l love to have a flawless one.

Allas, money is always an issue round here.
