Allis C and CA drag link repair works!

Drill a 1/4 inch hole in the back of the ball housings, inject the urethane (I got a tube of it that goes into a caulking gun from an auto parts store) until it oozes out the ball side, let it set for 4 days, clean up the drilled hole and plug it with JB Weld. It hardens and removes all the slop but stays pliable to absorb steering shocks. Norm said his has lasted for years...I'm confident it will, but it's so easy that even if you have to do it every few years it's no big deal.

On my C, I cut off the ball and socket on each end. I put the shaft in my laythe and bored a hole in each end the same diameter as the bolt end of a tie rod end. I shoved new tie rod ends in each end and welded them in place. Should last forever if it greased occasionally. The taper on the stud matched the arms taper.
