Implements for Allis Chalmers 2 point hitch ?

I"m looking at buying an older tractor and have found an Allis Chalmers WD45 with a 2 point hitch. My question is how hard is it to find implements, i.e. Box blade, post hole digger, mowers or bush hogs that will work with the 2 point system.

I found a good snap coupler auger at an auction last year for $75. Works real good, kind of a pain to hook up. PK

I believe it would be much easier just to convert to the 3 point hitch. It will save you hassle in the long run.

It all depends on your area, there are lots of Snap Coupler implements still around my area. The hitch system was called Snap Coupler, not 2 point, which I believe was an IH or Farmall hitch. It's very simple to put a 3 point conversion on the snap coupler draw bar of most AC tractors so that you can use either snap coupler or 3 point implements. Snap coupler implements are much easier to hook up than 3 point and in my opinion are better designed at least for ground engaging implements like plows. Good conversions run around $300. and I think Cross Mfg. makes about the best.

Farmall called their two-point system a "Fast Hitch". I agree that the AC system is easier to hook up to than a 3ph. Many times we hooked the 3-16 plow to the WD45 without getting off the tractor- just back into the Snap-Coupler, lean over to hook the lift arm latches, and go.

Actually it's Allis's version of a three point hitch.
I have new conversions from AC three point to Standard 3 point. $390. I also have snap coupler 3 14 plow, 8' and 10' snap disc and snap 6' and 7' blade for WD 45's

I see you have cnap coupler implements. What is the going price for a 3 bottom plow and disc for my WD 45?

Texas!!!!! It would be easier to just put a 3point hitch on the old girl. Then you can just round up equipment anywhere. Tony
