My G needs an electric starter (rebuildable preferred). What other machines would have used the same starter? I have only seen one on ebay in a yr.

Don't want my teenage sons doing the crank start in my absence (safety).

Thanks!

Hey Shep, have you found a starter yet? If not e-mail me. I have a few contacts that have them. A little pricey but available.

i've got an AC-C and bought a starter through the mail, it turns out to be a G starter not the C. whking was telling me tyhat the G turns the opposite of the C starter. it also has 10 teeth compared to the C starter with 14. that's why this G starter won't work on my C.

you got that right, DICK L, THANX FOR THE PICTURE.i went to the alt shop this morning and looked throgh alot of books. the guy had 3 Gstarters laying on the counter. look just like yours. well long story cut short. it's a Case starter. it clicked to him when i told him the C or B HAS 14 TEETH, not 10 teeth like this one. i soaked the id band of the starter a srubbed it with a sos pad AUTO LITE MAB 4105. THE b and c are delco. this starter is out of a case tractor. now i'm at the mercy of the one i bought it from. expencive lesson for me. gary

If you actually have a G starter you might find a few more things that will make it hard to work on a C besides the direction and gear teeth.

The MH Pony has the same engine if my memory serves me correct. As far as the starter I have no idea if they are the same. Dave NE IA

I might be wrong but I have not found any other tractor that the G starter fits. I bought one on ebay a while back. You are correct in saying that they dont come up often. The generators are even harder to find. It is hard to buy a junk generator for a G at much under 70 bucks.

Contact The "G" Man, John Striekland, in Alachua FL. (386) 462-4685. If he hasn't got one or can't get you one, there isn't any to get!!!
