D19 transmission repair

I have to split a D19 to replace the gears in the transmission. I was wondering if there is anything I should know to speed things along before I get started?

I replaced the gears in a 180 once, they should be similar. You will need a shop manual. In order to remove the two shafts in the tranny you will have to remove the rear wheels, remove the axles and final drives, remove everything on back of the tractor as you have to get the rearend gear assembly out in order to get the bottom shaft out. In other words to replace gears on both shafts you will pretty much have to dismantle down to nothing but an empty tranny housing. It is a huge job with no viable shortcuts. I put new 3rd gears in the 180 and it would still fall out of gear going downhill.
