front end loader

Picked up a wd with front end loader. I think its made by new idea from pictures I've seen of various loaders. The problem is that the loader will not lift. I checked the fluids they are ok. The cylinders leak alittle from the top seals but the fluid don't gosh out. Any help on troubleshooting would help. Thanks, Mark

Another loader question;

I am restoring a ford 2000 industrial with a Davis model 101A loader.
The loader has a two spool valve that lifts the frame with two cylinders from common valve and lifts the bucket with the other valve.

It will lift but slowly falls when valve goes back to center. I took the valves apart and there are no o-ring seals to replace only the metal valve parts. The internal wear in the valve parts doesn't look to bad. Could the leak be in the cylinders that cause the loader frame to slowly fall or any other cheap fix? The valve was made by Cessna I have been told. It would appear that to rebuild the valve would get pretty involved with machine work.

Could it be a 'Cross" valve? I understand there is no repairing them- maybe Cessna is the same. Replacement is the only option.

sounds like a weak pump...will the loader lift its own weight or wont lift a load?

The pump might be ok, but a relief valve stuck open, letting oil bypass back to the reservoir. Wouldn't throw the pump away yet- could be dirt holding the valve open a squinch!
