Allis Chalmers L (special for going over fruit bushes)

I think this is an aftermarket unit. I happened on a web site for weather vaines from the UK. They have what looks like a high crop Allis B but call it an Allis L. Did they make such a tractor for over seas I wonder? Any ideas any thoughts?

Hello We had an Allis Chalmers crawler Model L for years and as a matter of fact it is still on our old farm in Iowa. It was a 6 cylinder gas, dual carbs and dual exhaust and was started by crank. It has not run for close to 50 years. In size it appears to be smaller than a D-6. I have some recent photos if you like. Take care Ernie Butts

Weathervanes.co.uk uses the letter "L" to stand for LARGE I believe. It has nothing what so ever to do with the tractor. As I see it the make some things in different sizes. About half the weathervanes they make have the "L" following the name.

I have seen both weathervains and there is a dirrerence to each. One looks like the regular B the other looks like a high crop. Take a look one is on the top the other is on the bottom of the page.
