continental u parts needed

sloroll,on an earlier post it looked like you might have some parts or information.i have a 1930 u that needs a belt pulley assy.will a later model assy work? if not i may have to find that.is the clutch the same on all the u's? how about power takeoff?any help would be great.

thanks guys. i too am a farmall guy that ended up with an allis.i always liked the looks of the early u's and a friend picked this one up for me at an auction.funny thing is, he's a farmall guy too and has a u allis.

The belt pully will not interchange from the UM motor U to the continental U, I am not sure about the other parts mentioned.

Boy I wish I knew those answers for you. I am just learning on the Allis line. I have played with JDs and Farmalls and just kinda veered into the orange. I do have a 1930 U and have a 29 United and 30 parts U on the way but I don't know yet what I will have for left over parts. I know that externally the newer pulleys and pto look different. Whether they mesh up inside ...???? Have you been on the unoficial allis page? THre is a pile of information there but alot of those folks frequent here too. Good luck and sorry I wasn't of any real help. If in IA stop by. Send me a picture! I love looking at old iron!
