A good running C with sickle mower for $750 would be a decent buy here in Missouri. The sickle mowers were a belly-mount. The C's, in my opinion, are wonderful little tractors. They are, essentially, the two-row version of the B's. They are very easy to work on and parts are readily available for them. I have one that is my keeper after having owned several other tractors...it all boils down to what you like. One thing I really like is that back rest....it hits at just the right spot, too! One thing to look for on the C's is whether it has really sloppy steering. There are three places for steering to get sloppy on a C...the pedestal, the steering gear box, and the radius rod. It's not a big deal to take the slop out, but it does take some desire to do it if you have to do some overhauling. I'm in the process of rebuilding my steering box and pedestal this winter. To me, it's fun and a great learning experience...and not hard to do. Other than that, it's the usual old-tractor stuff to look for. At least I don't know of any other "particular" things to look for on them. 3-point hitches did not come with them, but they are easy to make or aftermarket hitches are available. You would need the hydraulic pump to run the ram to use a three-point, but if it doesn't have one they are pretty common to get hold of. Good luck, and great buy if that sickle mower works okay!
