I have a 1942B. I know that some tractors have engines made by Hercules and several other companies. Did AC make their own for the B?

some of the graders and dozers built prior to the WW11 had Detroit Diesels power. THe farm tractors all had ALLIS designed motors ,except the little G. Allis bought a company called BUDA that made diesel motors and incorporated them into the line in the 1950 era. THe larger BUDA diesels went into dozers and wheel loaders, but farm tractors with gasoline motors were normally ALLIS design.

The Engine in the WD45 Diesel is Mfg. by Buda Engine Works.I had one in 1968 and it was alright for Field Work but had to get rid of it as Diesel did not fit in my Farm operation. My Tractors were all Gas Powered except for this used WD45D.

A good number of the AC tractors had AC engine in them. The B, C, WD,WC,WD45, etc. The G on the other hand had a cont. engine in it.
