I have a customer that has a 1937 Model B A-C that is in good working condition. It happens to be serial # 1 and he is wondering what the value might be. Could anyone place a value on this tractor or point me in the direction of a site that would help us out.

Mike, the first 97 tractors were built in 1937. They had a Wakashaw motor, not an Allis motor. If infact, that is what he has, it is priceless. If it is a 1938-58 tractor then it has the Allis BE or CE motor. I also have a hard time believeing it is sn #1. you need more info.

I will do some investigating and verify this tractor and serial # with pictures. The tractor in question is owned by a very kind and honest 70 year old that has no intensions of selling the tractor he uses to mow with, however he has no internet access and wanted me to inquire for him.

FROM EVERYTHING I READ, THE FIRST 5 OR 6 UNITS WERE TEST UNITS AND WERE DISMANTLED BEFORE PRODUCTION. I THINK LOW #'s ARE HOMEMADE. BOB

I have a hard time thinking such inquiries are for real but the answer for question #1 is NO. The answer for question number 2 is also NO.

I thought that B #1 (as well as C #1, G#1 and IB #1001) belonged to Roger Van Camp...

Anyone else gotten one of those little cards from him that lists all the tractors he owns?
