TKN, since you got water/anti-freeze out of the drain plug, it means there may be something wrong with the engine. Bad o-rings at the base of the cylinder sleeves will cause radiator fluid to be in the pan. So will a cracked block or a cracked head. I've had one of each of these three. I've heard that a bad head gasket will also cause the problem though I've never talked to anyone that had such a problem and I've never experienced it. Usually, if the tractor has sat a while and the exhaust is uncovered, rain can also find its way to the crankcase in large quantities (or small as well). If the water was clear and the radiator has anti-freeze, it is most likely from rain water. If it was clear, there is a strong chance the engine is stuck. If it isn't stuck, and the water was clear, there might not be much wrong - sometimes these can be made to run without disassembly. A C Allis should not cost much, especially if it needs work. A nice one with good tires and a good runner brought $536 on Ebay yesterday. If it needs work, value is somewhere around a $100 to $200. My last C was given to me. I live in Leander, Texas which is north of Austin. I have a small ranch near Goldthwaite.
