found a corn head on a 90 all-crop. i have seen pitures before but never an actual head. How common were they and does any collector want them thank you

There were 200 cornheads made for the Model 90 combine. I have either # 196 or 198...do not remember. Mine was in pretty poor shape when I got it. Pretty banged up and every chain was as stiff as a board. Now have it fixed up and painted. Still need to do something with the combine I purchased to go with it. I have some before and after pictures in my Webshots files under "My combines". Den

They are hard to come by. We have 3 60, a 66, a 72, a 90 and a super 100. We cut wheat with all but the 100 since it is not running yet. I corn head would be a very unique thing to have. Dad saw a new one in a create sell at an auction around 1975 for $20 and the scrap man got it, what a shame.

It would be very Collectible as no one I knew would buy one of the things.This alone would make it Colectiblle . They were not widely used and had a bad reputation.The problem with the AC Corn Head for the 90 combine is, it was based on the Stripping Units of the AC 33 Mounted Corn Picker and any one who picked Corn with a 33 will tell you that it put more Shelled Corn back on the Ground than Ears in the Wagon.I knew several Land Owners who would not rent to a Share Cropper with one of these Pickers as he knew that the Tenant intended to fatten his Hogs or Cattle on the Corn left on the ground from these Pickers. The AC Corn Head did the same excess Shelling as the 33 Picker did. The Gleaner Corn head was a different Story. It was an excellent Snapping Unit.Many satisfied owners of AC Gleaner Combines will swear by the Gleaners performance. I had a "C"Gleaner and no JD or IHC could do as comparible a job in lite or Heavy Corn as my "C" Could. Besides it had a Cab and a Heater as most Combines at that time were not so equipped.

Very uncommon, but certainly collectible. I've seen only one, I think it is on a Model 66.
