I have a'47 B Allis that I need to know the normal cylinder compression ratio. The readings I am presently getting are 85,77,90,90. The tractor was in a heavy rain with no protection over the vertical exhaust pipe. I removed the plugs, spun the engine to blow out the water from the cylinders and changed the oil. the tractor will start but runs poorly. All electrical components appear to be dry and it seems to be getting enough fuel. It starts easily and idles well but misfires and has no power when under a load. Any help would be appreciated.

I'd check for water in the tank, sediment bowl,and/or carburetor. Could be bad points, or the mechanical advance not functioning properly. your compression test results sound just fine. CP

I checked mine not too long ago and the compression was 95 across all cylinders.
