Does anyone know where I can find a PTO setup for my 1968 Allis-Chalmers I-400; there is not one on it now so I will need a complete assembly.
The serial # is I-400-1491 and it is a 149 C.I. gas engine; #12-7306-R

I'm sure the I-400 pto parts are available as I've seen side mount pto mowers for them. The D10 and D12 Series III tractors are the ag counterparts so you might track down one of these in a salvage yard and find the parts you need.....good luck! I have a feeling this might be a bigger job than it appears.

I am not familiar with an I-400 AC. Is it an Industrial version of some AC Mfg. Tractor? Knowing the Farm version of this unit will help greeatly as ,unless ordered with one, a PTO is usaually absent from an Industrial Tractor. Industrial Loaders,Backhoes and such use almost exclusively Hydraulic Drive for their Attachments.

The I-400 is the industrial version and when my dad bought it he was asked if he wanted a PTO for it. Unfortunately he said he didn't need one. Am I wrong in thinking I can just bolt one in???
