Hi all...I was out plowing today. Finished clearing our driveway fine, then went down the road a mile or so to do the inlaw"s place. About halfway through that second driveway, the left front wheel started to skid instead of turn. About 15 minutes later the right started doing the same thing. All the way home the left slid and the right half skidded and half turned. In the garage (parking it) they both turned fine. What do you guys think about this one? I could use some advice on what to do/check. The front tires and rims were new when I bought it a few months ago, and it didn"t give me any problems with this until today. Thanks in advance for the help.

Yep, ya got water in the front wheel bearings...when you take apart and clean, hose'm down with carb cleaner or gum cutter before reassembly with fresh grease and seals...that'll chase all the water away. When you're plowin', the front wheels don't see enough duty and it's cold enough that if there's H2O in there, it'll freeze...happened to me also.

What"s the procedure to go about tearing into the wheels? What"s the best way to lift the front end? AND...where can I get seals and/or bearing from, if needed? One more question...should I use regular axle grease?
Thanks again guys.

You probably got some ice/snow in the hub and it frooze up on you. I'd pull both front wheels and check the bearings and maybe even replace the grease seals on the inside of the hub.
