AC HD4???

Could someone please help!!! We bought a AC Dozer from a chap who is not to sure about what model it is, as per him he thinks it is a HD4. Fitted with a GM 2 Cylinder engine. He recon it used diesel. Does anyone out there know if they did come out with these engines and what can I do to get it running again?

Hector & Gatz,

Thanks for the info, this will help a lot. The pic is showing exactly what we have. Now the problem is to get it started. Been standing for 6 years. When you use petrol (gasoline) or quick start, it actually starts up. Only problem is that I presume that we will need some sort of manual to see where the "injectors� are situated as my knowledge of this type of engine is minimal. If you guys could help I will appreciate. I will upload some pics of our dozer on the weekend for you guys to check.

HI The injector are in cover valve and a DETROIT you better check the maine fuel line and the fuel filter,HECTOR

Hector,

Thanks. We replaced fuel filter, will check fuel lines again, although when you open the overflow on fuel line it sprays a strong spray of fuel. I suspect that there may be a blocking of some sortr in the injectors. Will check and see if I can get to them to clean them out. Can you give me some idea of how I shoud go about to remove and clean them?

HI disconnect the fuel line past the fuel pump just before the ead and start the machine if the fuel go to the injector and if yes give him a little bit starting ether.HECTOR

HI That should be a hd5 with detroit 271 you could check on right side on back top housing the serie number and I have some parts for.

The HD5B used a GM 2-71 Diesel Engine.
