I am in the final stages of finishing a 1953 Allis CA.I bought it because it was my good friends grandpas. It was in decent shape but had not been run in years. Got the bill of sale and all original papers. Had it running and used it for a summer. Nice tractor. On the CA are any parts other then the rear wheels suppose to be Persian Orange #1.

RearLight??Front Lights?Starter?OilBreather? Radiator??

Was all of the wiring painted with the tractors when built??

I am mostly into Farmalls ,, but love all tractors

Thanks Rob

im with Jeff, everything was orange originally, but it should have been black. looks a lot better with generator, starter, mag cap, plug wires, ect all black.

Yep...according to everything I've read, and archived photos i've seen, they hosed down everything in Persian orange, including the generator, distributor, steering wheel, shift knob, etc. The only things different were the tires, rear rims (silver), exhaust tip (aluminized silver) and head lights (black). When I restored by B, I left things like the mag, starter, gen, etc black so it wasn't so stark looking. My info comes from "Original Allis Chalmers 1933-1957".
