just brought my allis c home pulled the oil plug and i mean it was gross. i took it as the guy rebuilding the thing like the paper said,but what he ment was that it was a basket case and they put it together.okay done crying. is there some good engine flushes i can use to clean it out some? recomend and oil, i like 10w30 but what do yous think? i'm up here were it's below freezing
. how about her rear end 90w or ?

Barring disassembly and rebuilding, the safe thing would be repeated oil changes with a decent oil. The death or glory solution would be several gallons of diesel in the crankcase and let it idle for ten minutes or so before draining.

I have on a running tractor that had thick slime in the pan, removed the pan and valve cover and took the power washer to the inside. Starting at the top and cleaning the top side well and then tunning the nozzle up into the crankcase and washing it out good. You would be surprised how clean it will get with just water. Let it drip dry for a while and put new oil in with a new filter, add a half can of sea foam to the oil and the other half to a coupla gallons of gas, then run it for a few hours and change oil and filter. That should make a big difference. Cold weather is a pain with this old tractor stuff. Ether tuff it out or try to talk your wife into letting you bring the tractor in the house.

thanx guys that'll help. i dumped a quart of oil through it today in a kinda warm garage and it washed a little out. man it needs to be warm outside. takes so much to heat a little garage now. i do like the power wash thing. did that on my 530 a it was great. started with simple green then wash. even the wife couldn't believe.going to do as much as i can to get her all cleaned out. thanx again gary
