I just bought a gleaner E and am trying to fix it up. It runs really good and its pretty well ready to go except some of the parts that are not attached really well to the combine such as the Feeder beater sprocker. The other parts I need are a lower cleaning fan Sprocket. A set of Cylindar speed sprockets and a three row cornhead I.E. 330 model number. I would also like information such as what is the tool that hangs on the clean grain elevator and any stories of these machines. Your help is really appreciated thank you.

Dean, Also that tool is used to push in the 4 pins in the throat that holds on the head.Look for the little 1/4" sq countersunk area- very handlie tool. I have junked out 4 E,s for the motors.The remains (less some parts) are deer stands now lol.Have a 65" E coming in same deal.On my K it has a F 330 head thats been fit to it. That may be a ideal also for you.Iam a hour east of K.C. Mo. if your in the area some time. Eddie

Dean,
When you replace a bearing or move a bearing to adjust a chain etc.,always remember to loosen the bearings on both ends of any of the shafts so the bearings can realign. This machine should be able to be turned by hand, if no bearings have alignment pressure on them.
Be sure the machine clutch is adjusted up so it snaps in place and always start the machine with reduced engine RPMs..... ..the same with starting out in high gear..... saves on belts and clutches.

Worthington Ag Parts (findable by a google search, etc.) will have a variety of used parts for the E. They must have at least 100 of them in their yards. Some stuff is still available new from AGCO. As far as finding an E330 head, good luck. Not that many were made, and of those that were built, most have gone to China by now.

My brother has a good 330 head he bought new .It has been changed over to fit his K. He has a F2 and 430 head now ,we are in north central Missouri

The tool hanging on the combine is most likely the rock door reset tool. If that is what it is...guard it. If you ever have to close the rock door...you will want it and not a makeshift tool...hard on the body without it as I have been told. Den

The tool is also used to compress the spring on the underside of the throat- to lock or unlock the head to the combine. Round end of the tool is hollow, fits over wedge on spring. When closing the rock door- DO NOT lay under the combine with the tool between your legs and pull the door shut. Hold along side of you- it can snap with quite an impact, and unless you want to change choirs next Sunday..... .
