Got a C running after setting in a barn for years. Did all needed repairs and fresh paint job. Drove it around a while and delivered it to owner. After setting a while the steering locked up. It was steering fine before I delivered it.
Any ideas or suggestions?

remove the linkage between the gear box arms. then turn the steering wheel. if it turns then try moving the pedestal gear box. the shaft under the radiator can get real tight. bob

I did pressure wash the tractor and water then paint may have run down the steering column. Maybe some PB Blaster will free it up.

The steering box actually has oil in it...sounds like some rust in the steering box worked it's way loose and may have bound the worm gear...or, possibly just some paint or water in another mechanical steering part that didn't set up until it got back home.
