What wheels fit a '42 B?

I was in a tractor boneyard yesterday. To my surprise I saw an old B with wire spoke wheels on the front, apparently from an old car. The tires looked like the tri-rib ones that you would expect to find on a B. On getting home I looked at my '42 B and it has what appears to be Chevrolet wheels on the front. 15" dia. and about 6" wide. They've got those "ribs" where the hub cap popped over (like a '55 Chevy). Since I don't have any Chevys any more....nothing to compare to. Did B's ever come with spoke wheels? What else will fit?

I saw the spoke wheels at R&R Tractor on Hwy 411, near Madisonville, TN. I really don't know whether they are originals or not.

Most Ford, Mopar or AMC wheels fit the B. The only GM wheels that I know of that might fit would be the very early Pontiac/Lemans. There were some AMC wheels (maybe early Rambler American) that were 15" X 4" or 4-1/2"; just about the right size but I"m not sure about the "offset". My Dad ran 15" wheels from a 40s Plymouth on his B for a while.

I was told mine were from a Ford Ranger. Have to watch the center hole size, probably requires a 4wd rim.

Wheels from an AMC eagle fit on, had one that had one wheel missing and put one from the eagle on it.
