started the allis and had a knock locked at oil presure gauge and had no oil presure, shut off, it is like the oil pump lost prime ended up removing oil line that goes to oil filter adater and pumped oil in pipe that goes to oil pump with my oil can, reinstaled oil line cranked over and had oil prussure, started and run around for a hour was fine, only has set for 2 day with out being started so what caused the oil pump to lose prime? and parked inside out of the weather.

If it happens only once call it a fluke. If it starts to happen often you will need to check check your oil pump.
The prime is held in your oil pump much like you would hold liquid in a drinking straw by holding your finger over the end and lifting the straw out of the glass. You remove your finger from the end and let in air and the liquid drains out the bottom.
Several things I have run across that can cause this to happen. I have found that the pipe in the pan was loose at the top. I have found the pump cover wore out to the point that air could bypass the vanes over the end of the rotor. The check ball in the pump being pitted and would not seat properly. The thick gasket used under the pump cover rather than the thin gasket.
