Sold my OC3 crawler; need another project. Up the road an AC D-14 that has been under cover but in an open-sided shed for last 8-9 years.

I know, I know, I know...value depends on a lot of unknowns but any suggestion as to value for a project would be appreciated. I suspect the engine is stuck. Unable at the moment to get a serial # off of it.

Happy Thanksgiving to all, thanks for any replies.

Hard to say with more info. If the tires are useable all around, $700 would probably be OK. One sold on Ebay last week for $1000, partially took apart, bad 3rd gear but engine free, decent tires.

Thanks for the reply Texas Denny but he who hesitates is last..or something.
Talked to the owner of the D-14 yesterday. Tractor has been in one location or over 10 years. Owner said " one of these days" he was going to get some help, get the D-14 loosened up and started. If he hasn't started or used it for 10 years my guess he will die and that D-14 will still be where it is now and has been for 10 years.

Guess owners sometimes have an emotional attachment to a rig, see it on the discussion boards all the time and do understand it. I do feel that way about my wife!

Get the rest of that left-over turkey et today or tomorrow before it goes bad!

Polk Crawler, I once found a D-14 sitting in a yard about 20 miles from my place. I inquired and was told by the widow that her husband had died and she wanted to keep the tractor because her husband loved it so much. It was sitting outside instead of in the empty shed. Oh, it didn't run and her son was going to get it going and put it away one of these days. Don't know if he ever moved it. I lost interest because someone had taken all of the oil filler covers off and they didn't have the exhaust covered. It will surely end up a parts tractor. Sad but it is life.
