I'm having trouble locating brakes for a g that I'm working on. AGCO wants a $117 for 2 brake shoes. Does anybody know where i can get cheaper shoes or maybe a lining kit that would work for the brake shoes that I have.

brakes on my g are a nightmare, well not quite a nightmare but a big pain. long story short, ended up using 25ton shop press + some heat to get mine apart. bought new shoes for $125/pair. Ended up cleaning up the old ones, new ones steel was too thick to fit. Neighbor had his old ones relined, lining ended up being too thick. The brakes took a lot more than I expected.

My AGCO shop had linings ~$20 / side if I recall. Used D14 linings. Their reference book didn't show a lining for G.

I've seen them on Ebay for less than $30 for a relining kit - both wheels.
