My 190xt seized up in the field a couple years ago. Pinion bearing locked up and the rear end took it pretty hard. Never really thought too hard about buying the parts or finding them. Made a call to the junk yard near me and said he had a good rear end for 400. It was a huge amount of work to switch it. I would look for a used one first because if you read the repair book there are a lot of specs to get made right.

They may not be serviced by Agco anymore (but I'd sure check with a couple of dealers, sometimes they have "dead" inventory that they haven't deep-sixed), but there are several places you can. I just looked on the parts link at the top of this page and they seem to have most of the gears right there plus shafts. If those aren't the right stuff, you can still get used stuff through tractor junk yards. There are AC only yards and a lot yards that cater to all brands. It depends on what part of the country you are in, where to go but a salvage yard will strip down a machine and keep a lot of unusual stuff.
