Hi, I just finished taking my old WD apart. Now it is All in piece. My Question is: how can I clean the inside of all the housings like engine block, differential case etc. My other question is how do I prepare the metal surface for primer after I have removed all the old rust and paint with a angle grinder and a wire cup. It still have a grease residue.

5-10 gallons of solvent with an air gun should do the entire tractor.

For getting the insides of castings clean, check with your local automotive engine rebuilders.
The local CarQuest store has one of those high-pressure hot-water machines (Wheel-a-Brator?) that does a terrific job. You'll need to remove all plugs, bearings, fittings, etc beforehand.
I read somewhere that zinc-chromate paint is good for painting insides of castings where there may be a problem of seepage from light oils.
Last week I bought some Cold Galvanized paint that is soemthing like 95% zinc particlates. They said it should work good. Gatz

I use the 'paint and bodywork' forum for that kind of info. They have some real good guys that watch that forum. Inside the castings? WOW I love WDs to look at, but for now I just have a B. My garage and tools are too small.
