Would someone be so kind as to provide the height from the ground to the top of the exhaust stack on both an Allis-Chalmers "C" and a "CA" tractor? I live in town, (with a Homeowners Association), and need to determine if I can get the tractor in the garage. Obviously, a Ford 9N/2N/8N would fit; however, my wife is fond of the AC as her father used both a "C" and a "CA" on his dairy farm. Thanks in advance for any information that you can provide.

A hacksaw will shorten an exhaust stack, and a under hood muffler will eliminate it. Next you need to know how high is it to the top of the steering wheel. I don't know, but I bet that will fit in any garage. The under hood mufflers aren't too expensive, just bought one, but I don't remember how much it was.

I have a B and I think it is same height as a C. It goes thru my 7 foot tall garage door with 6" or so to spare and I don't even have to duck.

76.75 inches according to Terry Dean's book....I'm sure there is some variation between mufflers. I'd just cut off the muffler if it was too tall.
