You have a reversed tractor, with the loader mounted on the rear. I reversed one back in the seventies, still have it. Great traction and visibility. Likely has a separate hydraulic pump and reservoir with independent hydraulics for the loader. Reversal of gears is accomplished by pulling rear axles out enough to pull the pumpkin and flip it over to the other side of the pinion gear- gives you 4 speeds in reverse, 1 forward. Price? If a WD and loader is worth 1500, add a grand or more for the reversal and hyd, although today it may cost more for the job.

If in very good condition, I might even go higher. I've never even seen one but in pictures. Do your research on the photo ads. I was looking there the other day and saw many AC (the last thing I need is to buy more tractors but I was droolin'). As he said at least a grand more to start with. You should look for signs as to whether it is a factory job or not. If none of the linkage or mounting hardware are hack jobs, it could be.... like I say, I've only one picture of one in all my years studying tractors. They also made a D-15 fork lift similar to this WD-45 loader.

They are not factory jobs- someone discovered that the engineers simply messed up and made it easy to reverse! WC's can be reversed as well, but it takes some grinding inside the pumpkin to get clearance for the parts when you flip the drive over. WD, etc. can be reversed by dismantling and reinstalling upside down. M and H Farmalls are also easy to reverse. Some Ford models are the same. In the 70s there were two shops within 40 miles of me that did these reverse jobs full time for livestock farmers. Now, with so many hydro steering units off of old combines, it is easy to make a really handy unit with a reversed WD. Mine is mechanical, shafts and gears to reverse steering. Foot brakes are mechanical, pipe and shaft inside to switch from one side to another. Great for picking rock or loading manure- fantastic visibility for seeing when the rock is picked up. Can dig out bigger rock than it can move.

Eric, I seen one sell last year for I think around $3,000.00. It was a pretty rough job at best. I purchased one a few years ago, use it many times each year, works better than great. I gave $1,000.00, one drive tire was poor, needed paint. I told the farmer 30 years prior that if he ever sold it I wanted it. This summer I had alot of post holes to dig, so I mounted a AC post hole digger to the loader for extra high lift, and you have perfect visability, plus down pressure if needed. I live in Garnavillo, north of Guttenberg 11 miles. We live 6 miles West of the Mississippi river. Will be more than happy to help you out, maybe a few pictures could be more of a help. I sure would not want to disagree with anyone, but I have never heard of a factory reverse job. I own a couple of tractomotives that are factory. I will be doing my volenteer work hauling Veterans to the VA hospital in Iowa City--sorry I do not know the schedule yet. Dave NE IA
