My 1984 AC 5050 has developed a problem I have been unable to get rid of. Anyone else experience the problem or any solutions. The tractor will run and then quit under a load at about 2000 RPM. Apparently I have an air pocket in the fuel line somewhere. I followed the bleed instructions from the service manual but either I am not doing it right or the air is getting back in the fuel line after I have bled the system. I have replaced the primary fuel filter, cleaned the filter on the fuel pump to no avail. Reluctant to change the secondary fuel filter so soon after the just changing the primary fuel filter as service manual instructs not to do this. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Dale

Take the banjo bolt out that holds the fuel line coming from the fuel tank at the lift pump and check the flow of fuel coming from the tank. I think that you will find that this line is partially blocked and not allowing enough fuel to get to the injection pump, I have found trash at the lift pump end of the line and I have also found that it is blocked at the outlet from the tank. Good luck.

Don't know the 5050 system. The perkins I have on my AC has bleeder plugs at the top of the primary and secondary. The air ends up in the top when you pressurize and bleeds off really easily. These are cannisters that are inside of a glass filter housing with cast top and bottom. It's been a lot of years but I think before I got to that point I bled the input feed line.
