Deutz Allis, hub breakdowns

My Deutz Allis 5230 has 1900 hours on it. During the last 200 hours the left front hub, part # 72102876, had to be replaced three times because it broke right at the wheel. Now, after 30 hours of use it happened again and brought me into a life threatening situation. Thousands of dollars of repair costs for nothing and no warranty coverage!

Does anybody know of this problem that seems to be a manufacturing mistake? Or can anybody give me advice how to deal with this?

Thank you in advance for your reply!

Hans from BC, CAnada

Hi Hans,

Don't have any real info for you, BUT if the firdt hub ran 1700 hours and now you have gone through four in 230 hours, I would be looking for another problem in the spindle area that is causing this.

How did the first hub break, was it from hitting a hole or some solid object? Are you having this repair made at an authorized dealer who has service bulletins available?

If at an authorized dealer, I would be talking to AGCO about why they (the dealer) wouldn't warranty their work on the second replacement.

Have a great day!
