I am having a problem with my 190XT. The pto keeps running. Oil levels are ok and I nave tried adjusting on the rod that connects the pto lever to the hydraulic "block" under the tractor.Has anyone had this problem and what might the fix be? Thanks

On mine I have to engage the power director to get the pto brake to work. I do have a hydraulic problem I'm trying to run down.

Haven't had a chance to do much with the tractor. Did pick up a shop manual from the neighbor/mechanic. I think yhe problem is in the hydraulic block that directs the flow of fluid while engaging the pto.

Does it run with any resistance behind it or is it simply just drag? It sounds like the hydraulic pto, so some drag would be acceptable if the PTO brake doesn't work. Use a 2x4 and pry against the shaft with this on the drawbar and see if it takes much to stop it spinniing, if so, then it would be a problem with the clutch pack or the hydraulics, which I don't have any insight on. Hope this is of some help

You may have PTO brake that needs servicing.
