After I had just rebuilt the carb, my mag went up. Got a rebuild and put it on. Then, while it was out in the field and before I could get it under cover, the tractor sat in the rain during one heck of a deluge. We got 4" in about 2 hours. There was some water in the tank and the bowl that I was able to drain out...then added 2 bottles of dry gas. Pulled the plugs and used an air compressor to get alittle moisture out of the cylinders. She runs pretty good, but better on half choke. Do I need to pull the carb off again and clean out, or just get the rest of the gas out of it?
Thanks

Water droplets seem to get hung up between the main jet and around the bottom of the discharge tube and cause problems. It might speed things up for you to pull the carburetor off and blow it out good. I would screw out the main jet when you blow it out. Optional whether you remove the discharge tube or not. If you have had it out when you worked on the carburetor it would be an easy task. If you drain the bowl from the bottom of the carburetor, at the bottom of the discharge jet is the only void that will hold water droplets.

This might cause the opposite but who knows. Check your oil bath air cleaner. If you took that much water in everywhere else, it doesn't seem unreasonable that it may have been hit too. That would cause it to draw too high and maybe pick up moisture on the way in. Maybe pull it and dry it out the upper part too.

Never tried it but as I had a similar problem with the tank on my F350 recently, someone suggested I get a alcohol based dehydration product to get the rest of the water out.

drain off as much water as you can from sediment bowl...if u see beads...u still got water...cbp is right about air cleaner too...mine picks up moisture on a foggy nite, much less a full blown frog strangler...lil tip on them gas dry products...plain ole rubbin alcohol does same thing...i dump a pint in gas few times a year.
